Introducing The WPT Free Calcutta

Our first WPT Calcutta will begin immediately. It will run from July 6 - August 31st. During this time players will accumulate Calcutta Numbers by competing in WPT events both live and online.

How it works:
Every WPT tournament you play in is worth a certain amount of # Draws.
When a player is knocked ot of a tournament, they draw a number.

Players draw #'s from July 6 - July 31st. These #'s will be your #'s for the drawing.
All numbers drawn are set aside.

These numbers are now drawn as elimination numbers by players as they are knocked out of the tournaments. Numbers are drawn until there is only one left. The player whose number this is will win $50.00

Draws Per Event:

$11.00 Buy-in = 1 draw

$26.00 Buy-in = 2 draws

$32.00 Buy-in = 3 draws

Bluff Ave $ Game = 1 draw

Bluff Ave Play Money Game = .25 draw (4 games = 1 draw).

Jason was quiet in game #1, but emerged as a poker giant in game #2, scoring 39 points!!!!!!!
Meatball had a Power Rank of 28 and 42 points for the night!!!!!!!
He knocked out 10 players, 9 of them in game #2!!!!!!!!
Meatball also was the first WPT player to score 2 Whammies in a single game, and the first to score a Triple Whammy!!!!!!!

The Winooski Poker Tour Online is growing, and adding new poker players every week.
Please welcome Candy, Evan, Kelly, Jim, and Christi as new Bluff Avenue Players.

Our online group now has 25 players. We have had an average of 6 players per game on Tuesday's and Sundays with a couple bigger turnouts as well. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to improve the online games. More nights, different nights, different times etc.....

Doug Brassard has run away with the show the last couple weeks. He has been a constant threat, landing in a $$$$ position almost every game!!!!! Big Bets, bold bluffs, and a methodical mathematical approach has earned

Dangerous Doug the respect of every player he has ever faced.

Doug scored 37 Points on Saturday, and had a Power Rank of [34]!!!!!!!

The following WPT Players have already earend 10 or more WPT Stars making them eligible for "Power Cash" in the Power Blast 150 on June 5th 2010.

We will pre-load the payout pot with $150.00 before players buy-in!!
That's like having 15 additional players (who have already been knocked out of the tournament) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Payout Structure:
* 7 Players or less: $90 added to 1st Place / $60 added to 2nd Place
* 8 - 13 Players: $75 added to 1st / $45 added to 2nd / $30 added to 3rd
* 14 or more: $60 to 1st / $45 to 2nd / $30 to 3rd / $15 to 4th

Anyone can play in this tournament. Players must have earned 10 or more WPT Stars prior to playing in this event to be eligible for "Power Cash". If an non-eligible player cashes in the tournament, that player earns the regular payout, and the "Power Cash" will be awarded to the next best finishing eligible player.

Example:
1st Place - Eligible Player {1st place payout + 1st Place Power Cash}
2nd Place - Non-eligible Player {2nd place payout only}
3rd Place - Eligible Player {3rd Place payout + 2nd Place Power Cash}
4th Place - Non-Eligible Player {4th place payout only}
Bubble - Eligible Player (4th place power cash only}
.
In the above scenario the "Power Cash" for 2nd Place would be awarded to the 3rd Place finisher. The Power Cash for the 4th place finisher would be awarded to the player who finished on the bubble in 5th place.
So, the regular payout always stays the same for everone, but the "Power Cash" will move down until it finds an eligible player.

What's New For The Winooski Poker Tour

The biggest new change to The Winooski Poker Tour is the addition of the WPT Online at www.bluffave.com/WPT

So far, with the few small games we have had I would say it's been a great success!
I know of several other players who are going to be joining the online fun, and as this grows the games will get more and more exciting!!!!! Our Tournaments have a 90 player capacity, so we have tons of room to grow!!!!

Speaking of games, we have added a ton of online games to the 2010 schedule. There are many styles of games, and a whole range of buy-ins to choose from like: The Twilight Tuesday Series, Wild Card Satellites, Sunday Rounders, Pro Stack 10K, Mystery Mayhem Madness, The Big Bad Bubble Buster, Friday Night Free For Alls, Super Sunday Showdown, and the Deep Stack Destoyer!!!

If you have an idea for a game, please let me know. Dave just invented the Mystery Mayhem Madness game today!!!!

We even have our first side game: LAST CARD DEALT!!!!

Participating players guess what the very last card dealt in the tournament will be. Winner(s) win the jackpot. When there is no winner the jackpot rolls over, and builds until someone wins!!!!!

Bluff Avenue Replay Booth

I have created a new page on this website called "Bluff Ave Replay Booth".
This page will contain replayed footage of our online games played at Bluff Avenue.

There are a couple samples of our last game in there now.
These are done poorly because I was just learning how to do this.
In the future I will have a separate computer running to record the games, so that players can't see my hole cards (the recorder simply records whatever is on your screen).

There is a little square in the bottom right hand corner you can click on to make this a full screen view (just like on youtube). The Esc. button will bring it back to normal size (just like on youtube).

I think this will add a lot of fun to playing online!!!!

Online Poker Tournament This Friday Night 4/30/2010

This is just a reminder that there is an online poker tournament this Friday at www.bluffave.com/WPT
It is a Freeroll Winner Takes All Tournament, with a $50.00 cash prize for 1st Place.
We already have 7 or 8 players who are going to play!!!

Randi Kay and I have been trying out this site, and it is awesome!!!!!!!
It's just like playing on Poker Stars or Full Tilt Poker, but it has many other features these sites don't allow.
You can check your hand history, and chat.
You can also call the clock on a player, and "Rabbit Hunt" (check to see what the board would have been, if the hand was played out).

The site also has a blog, and a forum where players can post smack talk and stuff like that.

There are going to be lots of tournaments to choose from on this site, and there will also be cash tables available 24/7/365 for players to play whenever they feel like it. You just need 2 or more players to sit at the table.
In the cash games you will have the option of flashing hole cards (1 or both) and some of the cash game tables will have features such as a Live Straddle, and a 2/7 game, or both.

This site is freakin' awesome!!!!!!

Online Play Money Tournament Update

Starting in May, play money tournaments will have monthly rewards to the top players.
Cash and/or prizes will be awarded to top players based on results of their play in that particular month.
So basically, every month will be like it's own separate mini series, with points reset to zero at the end of each month.

We will use a simple point system, with all players scoring points in descending order.

New Games:
Play Money Tournaments: Every Tuesday Night (except the last Tuesday of the month). The first Play Money Tournament is Tuesday 04/27/2010.
Twilight Tuesday Tournaments: Played the last Tuesday of the month. $21.00 Buy-in. $1.00 Player Rake from each player goes into the pot for the Twilight Tuesday Main Event at the end of the year.
Friday Night Free For All: Free Roll Tournaments for cash and/or prizes. The first Friday Night Free For All is Friday 4/30/2010 at 7 pm. 1st Place will win $50.00 (donated by Howling Coyote Salsa).
Sunday Rounder: Regular Texas Hold 'Em Tournaments, one Sunday per month. $20.00 Buy-in. Played online.

All of the above games will be played online at www.bluffave.com/WPT
There is a cash table (play money) available at all times on this site. You just need 2 or more players to play.

The Twilight Tuesday Poker Series is the last Tuesday of every month.
Buy-in: $21.00
Starting Chips: 5,000
Starting Binds; 15/30
Levels: 6 Minutes
There will be a trophy for 1st Place at the end of this series.
The rest of the player rake ($1.00 per person per game) will go into a Power Cash Pool for the last game of this series. So there should be close to $200.00 added to the last game of this series for a payout!!!!

Power Blast 150 Is Coming June 05, 2010

Our first Power Blast 150 of the year is coming. This game is a regular $11.00 buy-in, but we will add $150.00 to the payout structure on top of that. (That's where part of the extra $1.00 rake goes). Last time we played, we had an excellent turnout, and a very large pot. 3rd Place won $100.00!!!

Anyone can play in a Power Blast 150, but to be eligible for "Power Cash" you must earn at least 10 WPT Stars prior to this event. Players earn WPT Stars by playing in WPT events. 1 Star is awarded for each $11 buy-in game / 2 stars for each $26 buy-in game / and 3 stars for each $32 buy-in game played.

Most WPT Players already have 6 stars, and there is plenty of time to earn enough before the game on June 05. There are a total of 3 Power Blast 150's Sheduled for this year. Please check the Schedule for more details.

April 10 highlights - Dangerous Doug Derails Da Freight Train

The Winooski Poker Tour has a new Point Leader for the first time in long time. For 8 consecutive weeks (six last season, and two this season) Ernie Mead (the 2009 WPT defending Champion) has been in first place on the Leader Board. But now, Doug Brassard has taken that position followed closely by Mike in 2nd place, and Gerald in 3rd. Ernie is currently in 4th place, but trust me folks, he still has his eye in 1st.

Gerald wins game #1 propelled by a double whammy knockout, taking out Dave and Richard when his pocket eight's turned into a set of Quads on the flop. Gerald had 8 knockout's in this game.

Randi Kay "The Ice Queen" Metivier took 1st place in Game #1, stealing many pots from Dangerous Doug, by out-kicking him. She built-up a massive chip stack, and had lots of fierce competition, but in the end she pulled it off taking down 1st place.

This game also marked the long awaited return of Gary "The Mouth" LaFond. Gary showed up and brought his "A" game, playing a myriad of mind games that helped him put his opponents on tilt. Gary finished in 2nd place. Gary didn't stop there, in game #2 he landed in the points, and the money again with a 4th place finish.

"Dangerous Doug" Brassard also came to play, and finished in 3rd placein game #1, after the blinds (15,000 / 30,000) forced him all-in.. Doug was at the top of the heap in game #2 also, finishing in 2nd place.

Punky has been playing very consistently and is currently ranked the WPT #2 player with a power rank of [79]
Punky finished in 4th in game #1 holding on long enough to beat Mike into 4th place, who was being blinded out after being called away on two fire/rescue missions. Mike had a monster chip stack when he was called away. At the time he was the chip leader with over 70,000 in chips. He was getting tons of monster hands when he was gone, so you can't help but wonder what would have happened in game #1 if he had been there to play? He probably would have made it a lot farther than 5th place.

Candy also played very strong on Saturday with a 5th place finish, and a 7th place finish. Candy is playing some excellent poker and is playing the most consistently of all the players right now. She is currently the WPT #1 ranked player with a power rank of [83].

This week's Most Valuable Player is Doug Brassard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doug came to the WPT Poker Room for one reason, and one reason only on Saturday Night. TO PLAY POKER!!! "Dangerous Doug" Brassard scored 15 points in game #1, and 29 points in game #2 for a total of 44 points, a new High Series!!!! Doug also landed in the points, and in the money in both games, coming in 3rd Place in Game #1, and 2nd Place in Game #2!!!!!!! Doug had the highest Power Rank of the night with a [35]. He also took down a bounty, and scored a Double Whammy taking out Candy and Dave in a single hand!!!!!! Add an impressive 9 Knock outs to the list, and that adds up to one hell of an MVP poker night folks!!!!!!!!

Doug is a very skilled, aggressive player with many weapons in his poker arsenal. His methodical calculated actions make him very tough to read, while reinforcing his already cool demeanor when bluffing. Doug mixes up his play better than most professional poker players, changing gears constantly, at always the right moment.
One minute he's slow playing you with Pocket Kings, and the next he's raising you All-In with 9/4 off suit.
Add to that his experience, and his incredible understanding of how this game is played and you get one thing................Ladies and Gentleman, Introducing your new point leader for the first time in 8 weeks................"DANGEROUS DOUG BRASSARD"

Announcing: The WPT Bad Beat Jackpot

Starting this Saturday the Winooski Poker Tour will add a Bad Beat Jackpot to it's list of side games.
The Jackpot will start at $10.00.

How it works:
A player who is beat while playing a Full House or higher will win the jackpot.
(Full House, Quads, Straight Flush).
In instances where there are 3 or more players, only the best hand beaten will win the pot.
Just like the Quad Pot, there has to be a showdown to win.
The only other stipulation is both your hole cards have to play.

Also starting this week is the return of the Pick-3 Lottery, and the new Cookie Jar Lottery.

What A Time To Be Absent.........

I am sorry I missed most of the action Saturday, because it looked like an awesome night of really intense poker fun!!!! Last week's two big threats Mike, and Ernie went out early in game #1 opening up the playing field for the other 13 players! This was all thanks to Angela "Quiet Thunder" Auclair who blasted both these poker giants off the table, taking down both bounties in game #1 !!!!!!

Mike left the table in first going out in 15th (Angela's first bounty). Next it was "Dangerous" Doug Brassard taken out by Candy "The Gambler" Antoniak. And speaking of Antoniaks, another poker legend bites the dust as John sends Tony "The King" Antoniak off to the races in 13th. Kara "The Dark Princess" George goes out next, proving that there is no love in poker, as she is taken out by her mom Angela. Angela would make it two in a row taken out the defending WPT champion Ernie "The Freight Train" Mead in 11th, and grabbing bounty #2. Also further proving the no love in poker thing, as she derails her own dead on her way to the top.
Some serious girl power going on in game #1 as Candy lays down a double whammy taking out Dave "The Jackal" Lamore, and Richard "The Slayer" Wood in a single hand, creating a final table of eight.
"The Ice Queen" Randi Kay would be the first knocked off this table by Punky "The Straightman" LaFond.
Candy is back knocking out her 4th player of this game as she sends John to the cash table.
Down to six players. I don't want to give away the ending, but Tom "Tommy Gun" Lesage would knock-out 5 of these players from here. His first victim is Pat "The Black Widow" LaFond. Then Tracy "Poison Ivy" LaFond. Then, and this may be a record, Punky LaFond (that's 3 LaFond's in a row). Down to 3 players. Tom, Candy, and Angela. Tom has gained a lot of chips with his last three ko's, but still is the short stack at the table as the girls have dominated the entire game. But not for long, as Tommy Gun Shoots down Angela in 3rd place, and then Candy in 2nd, making 5 ko's in a row and winning Tournament #1
This is Tom's first WPT Tournament Win. Congratulations Tom!!!!!!

14 players in game #2
Kara goes out first Ko'd by Richard. Next it's Pat Ko'd by Ernie. Candy goes out next in 12th place as Mike takes down his wife (and his second bounty of the year).....yea, no lover's poker here!!!! Richard slays Tom next and now both bounties are gone. Tracy goes out next at the hands of Mike "The Genghis Khan of Poker" Antoniak. Angela is on fire again as she takes out Dave in 9th, creating a final table. John is first to leave the final table taken out by Doug. Next Angela chalks up another KO taking out Punky. Down to four, and from here we find out why we call this guy "Dangerous" Doug Brassard. Doug is short stacked and in trouble. The blinds are so big that players are using calculators to call and raise bets with. But, Doug's never say die attitude, paired with his polished poker skills mounted a come-from-behind that would impress any pro poker player anywhere. Doug axes - Mike, then Angela, and Then 2009 WPT Champion Ernie to take down the win in tournamnet #2 Congratulations Doug !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week's Most Valuable Player goes to Angela Auclair!!!!!!!!!!!
Although Angela did not take down a first place victory this week, but she was a force to be reckoned with at all times during both games!!!! Her masterful sense of the game, and her quiet focused demeanor sent lightning bolts of terror down onto her unsuspecting victims. Angela "Quiet Thunder" Auclair took 5 players out of the games on Saturday (5 ko's) She had the most points of the night with 37, beating out both tournament winners. She had the best Power Rank of the night with a 34. She also zapped both bounties (Mike, and Ernie) in game #1 !!!!!!!!
Angela is a remarkable poker player, and very very dangerous!!!!!
So watch out WPT!!!!
She's rolling thunder....pouring rain.....she's coming on like a hurricane!!!!!!!

Everyone else is either out (drawn 7 cards with an outcome less than [QQQAA], or are mathematically eliminated from beating [QQQAA].

Kara can win with running 2 deuces only [2222]
Seth has 4 ways to win: A/A [AAAAQ], A/Q [AAAQQ], A/9 [AAA99], (or Q/Q to tie [QQAAA])

MVP Spotlight - March 13, 2010

This week was a furious battle between two poker giants Mike and Ernie. They both played so well that on any givin day either of them could have been this week's Most Valuable Player. Mike set a couple records today for knock-outs with 10 in one game and 7 in-a-row!!!! Ernie played very well all night in both games and finished in the money both times and had 9 knock-outs himself!!!!!! Yes, this night belonged to Mike and Ernie, but in the end it was Ernie who emerged as this week's MVP. Ernie had the best power rank of the night with 35, and scored a whopping 42 points on the night, 9 KO's and a double whammy KO!!!!!!!
Mike deserves the highest honorable mention for his efforts, with a power rank of 25, 40 points, 11 knock outs, a couple of records, and a double whammy KO of his own.

Ernie is picking up right where he left off last year......at the top of the leader board!!!!! How did he get there? By playing smart decisive poker!!! He keeps the pressure on his opponents with intelligent betting, excellent reads, chip stack management, and bold well timed bluffs!!!! If you are sitting at his table you will quickly notice that HE controls the pace of the game. It's Ernie's way, or the highway...er....railroad tracks. As the 2009 WPT Champion he has nothing to prove to anyone. No one but himself. And like the Aerosmith song says......"The train kept a rollin'....all night long"!!!!!

2010 Opens With A Bang!!!!!!

Saturday was the first league night in the 2010 WPT season, and what a night it was. 18 players showed up, and they all brought their "A Game". Pounding hearts, pounding shots, pounding tables, and pounding pizza (thanks to Tim), was the theme last night. That's right folks, the WPT poker room was alive with the rank stench of poker (or was that Tom)? Whatever it was it sure was exciting, and here's how it all went down........

Game #1
Gerald had been card-dead (or at least that's HIS story), Pat was in the same boat. Desperate for chips they both move all-in, in a hand against Mike (the master-of-bad-beats), but Mike's straight sent Both Gerald, and Pat (trip aces) to the cash table early, giving Mike the first "Double Whammy" of the year (when you knock-out two players in one hand, doubling your points for that hand). 16 Players left when John and Kara get into a hand for all of John's chips, and all of John's chips is exactly what Kara took, making it a 15 person game. Punky would be next to go at the hands of Randi Kay. Then Mark was taken out by 2008 WPT Champ Dave. Next it was Ernie's turn to lay down his own "Double Whammy" taking out Angela & Doug in 13th and 12th place. Mike, Candy, and Ernie are gathering huge chip stacks, and starting to fight for first place, when Candy takes out WPT newcomer Kara in 11th, giving herself a slight edge on the guys. Next Tom and Mike square-off in an all-in battle, and Mike would come out on top with his 3rd knock-out of the game (but certainly not his last). Mike "The Genghis Khan Of Poker" was putting together an army of chips, and he soon would wage an all out war on the villagers of the felt. Dave had been hanging on by the skin of his teeth for a while, not really catching any cards, and bluffing for sustenance, when he met Candy "The Gambler" in a big hand, and Dave soon found himself all-in, and all out of chips in 9th, officially opening up the cash table, as the 8 remaining players went to the final table. NOW........this is a first........before last night, this had never happened before........nobody, and I mean nobody would knock anyone out at the final table.........nobody, except Mike that is......that's right!!!......Mike set a new WPT record on Saturday by knocking out SEVEN PLAYER IN-A-ROW!!!!!!!!!!! Mike "The Ghengis Khan Of Poker" and his army of chips laid waste to hapless villagers of the felt, as he marched his way to first place completely unscathed!!!!
Here are the names of his victims (in a very particular order) Randi Kay -8th, Richard - 7th, Tracy - 6th, Tim - 5th, Ernie - 4th, Seth - 3rd, Candy - 2nd. That's also a record 10 knockouts in a single game by a single player. Congratulations Mike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Game #2
18 players reloaded. Mike takes another victim (eight-in-a-row), as "Dangerous" Doug Brassard is the first to leave the table. Mark "The Shark" McDuff (or Cash Table King as he's sometimes called) would be the next to go out (maybe in a hurry to play the cash table again) knocked out by Ernie "The Freight Train" Mead. The chips are going back and forth, and right now it's anyone's game except for Tracy who is knocked by John in 16th place. Next, Ernie begins an assault of his own taking no prisoners, not even his own daughter as he sends Angela out in 15th. Mike's reign of terror is now ended at the hands of Tommy "Gun" Lesage (or "Lumpy" as he was later named that evening for reasons you can only imagine). 13 players left when "Tequila" Tim Bergeron is run down by the Freight Train giving Ernie his 3rd knock-out of the game, and helping amass his huge chip lead. Next Kara would be taken out in 12th by Candy "The Gambler" Antoniak. Now it's John and Dave into an all-in situation, and Dave comes out ahead, leaving John behind in 11th. Next Gerald would survive a lucky battle with Seth, and make it a ten person game. Richard "The Slayer" goes out in 9th, and we head to a final table. Eight players left but a lot of short stacks due to Ernie holding most of the chips in play. The blinds were going up and Candy's stack was going down, so she decides it's time to make a move, all in, she gets a call from Gerald, but loses the hand in then there were seven. Randi Kay "The Ice Queen" goes out next at the hands of Tom, and now 6 remain. Ernie would take it from here. We call Ernie "The Freight Train" for a reason. It's really hard to stop a freight train once it gets rolling, and when Ernie is rolling, you better get off the tracks!!!!! Dave would be Ernie's next victim in this game. He took all of Dave's chips, but honestly, Ernie already had so many, that you couldn't even tell. Pat would soon add a bunch of chips to Ernie's gigantic stack as she leaves in 5th place. The blinds were getting enormous when Tom & Gerry (please no jokes) got into a hand for all of Gerald's chips. Gerald was holding Q/7 (Big Blind), and Tom had K/J suited. The flop delivered a seven, so Gerald, short stacked and desperate (please no jokes) shoves all in with his pair of sevens. Tom insta-calls as he has hit a Jack on the flop, and has Gerald covered by a pretty good amount. The turn is a Queen and gives Gerald a very lucky two-pair. The river is a blank for "Tommy Gun" and puts Gerald back in the game (Ernie's Game that is). And that is this week's HOWLING COYOTE Big Burn Moment (brought to you by Howling Coyote Salsa). Punky and Tom were now very low on chips as the blinds just hit 10,000 & 20,000 in chips They both almost have to be in with no matter what they are holding, and they are. Tom comes out ahead, and sends Punky "The Straight Man" straight to the cash table. 3 players left in Ernie's Game, and from here he would make quick work of it. Ernie is holding 98% of the chips. With his chips stacked high, and his hat pulled down, all we could see was his beard. Tom looks him directly in the beard as says all-in. What else could Ernie say? That was like throwing a stone at the Hoover Dam. "I call" Ernie says enthusiastically. Tom is out gunned, and out in third place, leaving it up to Gerald to try to take down Ernie. One hand later........................................Woooo wooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WPT on Bluff Avenue

The Winooski Poker Tour is finally online at 72 Bluff Avenue - www.bluffave.com. We are going to start our online poker league (Twilight Tuesday Poker) on Tuesday February 16, 2010. It is a 20 week long league played every Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Players will score points depending on where they finish in the tournament.There is a one-time buy-in of $25.00. We will pay out the top 3 players at 50% / 30% / 20%.1st Place will also receive a trophy. We have room for 90 players, so invite please invite any friends you would like to have join.

Point system:
Every player will receive points every game depending on where they finish.
Last place will receive 1 point, and increase by a one-point increment until every player has points

Example: 20 players
1st - 20 points
2nd - 19 points
3rd - 18 points
etc.......

We will also have a few $$$$ tournaments throughout the year, as well as a bunch of fun tournaments, fun cash style tables, and sit-n-go tournaments.

We can set up practically any type of Texas Holdem game we want. Cash Games / Sit-N-Go's / Single Table Tournaments / and Multi-Table Tournamanets with up to 90 players at 10 tables!!!!!!!

5PM Poker Is Dead.........Long Live Bluff Avenue!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, about the trouble we had with 5pmpoker. The site promised a lot of stuff they just couldn't deliver on, so I fired them. But after 32 grueling hours of intense research I have located a new, much better poker site to play on called Bluff Avenue. This site is much more detailed, and plays more like a regular poker site. Like the other site, there is nothing to download, just create an account.

This site is so much better. There are no emails to worry about, and we can set-up multi-table tournaments. We can even set up a separate cash style game. I set-up our own poker group already called "Winooski Poker Tour". All players will get $10,000 in bluff bucks from the WPT bank on Bluff Avenue. This money is used to buy-in to the cash games and tournaments. If you run out of bluff bucks it will automatically reload to $10,000.

We can set-up multiple tournaments and cash games on this site under The Winooski Poker Tour group.

I still want to TEST this site before we start playing our on-line league. So anyone interested, please contact me. Go to www.bluffave.com and create an account.

Richard Wood - Battled back from a chip-and-a-chair defeceit of 500 dollars (i chip) in the first game at blind level #3 and took 2nd place. He also took 2nd place in game #2!!

Lance Loiselle - Had 4 knock-outs, and played very well coming in 4th place in both games!!!

Tracy LaFond - Tracy payed tough the first game taking 3rd place in a large field of 17!!!!

Howling Coyote Big Burn Moment

Richard and Randi Kay are in a hand. Randi Kay has raised pre-flop, and Ricahrd makes the call. all other players fold. the flop delivers[ A / K / J] Richard and Randi Kay are both trying hard to contain themselves because each of them knows for sure that they now have the best hand (but, obviously, one of them is wrong). The betting continues. and when it's done we still have two players to the turn [King]. Richard is first to act. He is moving all in ( and why wouldn't he, the K/J he has been playing just improved from two-pair to a full house- Kings full of Jacks). Richard is smiling as Randi Kay makes the call (but he won't be smiling for long)....What could she have?............Why is she calling?.............Randi Kay exposes her hole cards................[A / A]..........She had been playing pocket Aces, and Richard's Full house is no good here, losing to Randi Kay's full house - Aces full of Kings!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that is the Howling Coyote BIG BURN MOMENT.

Introducing The WPT Year Long Calcutta

52 cards in a deck.........52 weeks in a year.........coincidence?.........I don't think so!

Here's how it works: Every player will get to pick 2 cards from a standard deck. These cards are your numbers.
We will randomly draw a card for each week that has passed. We draw only one card per week, so the calcutta will last all year long. Whoever is left at the end will win $100.00!!!!!

Players must play in 10 WPT games throughout the year to be eligible to win. Any player who does not will forfeit the cards they have left in play, and this cards will become auction cards at the end of the year.

Players starting with cards include all players from last year (30+ players). Some players are only eligible for 1 card depending on how many games you played previously. Anyone not present on January 18th will have their card(s) randomly drawn for them.

New WPT Game

Big 5 Poker is the latest addition to the WPT nightly games. It's free to play, and you can win $25.00.

Here's how it works. The game is played over a period of 8 WPT league & preseaon games. After every game you play in, you draw a random card. You can draw up to seven cards within the 8-game span. The best 5-card poker hand wins the pot each time. The pot is always $25.00.

$$$$ Booster Game !!!!!!

Minus the cost of the 2009 trophies we have $110.00 in the WPT Bank. The last time we talked we decided to add this money into a tournament to make it a bigger pot. So this next poker night; January 16, 2010 [weather permitting] we will have our awards ceremonies and pass out some trophies, then we will play the $$$$$ booster Tournament. There is still the regular $10.00 buy-in for this game, but the extra money is thrown in to boost the pot!!!!

So with 13 players or less the payout (before the regular buy-in) will already start like this:
1st place - Boosted $55.00 +
2nd place - Boosted $35.00 +
3rd place - Boosted $20.00 +

Example: 12 Players - new pay out is: $60 / $40 / $20

Boosted payout = $115 / $75 / $40

with 14 - 20 players:
1st place - Boosted $50.00 +
2nd place - Boosted $30.00 +
3rd place - Boosted $20.00 +
4th place - Boosted $10.00 +

Example: 16 players - new pay out is: $75 / $45 / $30 / $15

Boosted pay out = $125 / $75 / $50 / $25

What's New for The WPT 2010?

1) The buy-in for the 2nd annual Mega Stack Challenge has been reduced from $50.00 to $30.00.

2) The addition of the "Cookie Jar Lottery" - We will have a cookie jar with 50 poker chips inside (49 black chips, and 1 red chip). As players are eliminated from the tournament, they will reach inside the cookie jar to get a chance at grabbing the red chip. When a player grabs the red chip, the lottery is over and that player wins the pot. If nobody grabs the red chip, then the chips go back in, and the pot rolls over. Price per lottery is: $1.00.

3) I have rescaled the payout schedule so that 3rd place doesn't receive only $10.00 each time.
The new payout schedule is more balanced, and less top-heavy. We will also pay out 4 places with 14 - 20 players, and 5 places with 21 - 27 players. The new Payout Schedule is listed at the bottom right of this site.

4) Video interviews with the winning players. And players video input for the website.

5) We are eliminating the $5.00 rake per game, but changing the buy-in from $10.00 to $10.00 + $1.00 ($11.00). $10.00 will go into the pot for that game, and $1.00 will go to the WPT for trophies and extras.

6) NEW POINTS - Double Whammy, Triple Whammy, etc.... (If you knockout 2 players in a single hand that is a double whammy and you earn double the points for each player knocked out of the hand. If you knockout 3 players in a single hand, then you earn triple points for each player knocked out of that hand) and so on.......Note: if one of the players is a bounty, those points are recalculated too!

7) In addition to trophies, there will be cash prizes for 1st / 2nd/ and 3rd place this year.

Candy played some of the best poker I have ever seen anyone play at the WPT on Saturday night!!!! Every move she made was well thought out, and calculated. In fact I didn't see her make a bad decision all night. Candy "The Gambler" Antoniak knows EXACTLY when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em, when to walk away, and when to run!!!

Candy scored 26 points in game #1, and 12 points in game #2 for a total of 38 points!!!!!!!
She won game #1, and finished in 3rd place in game #2!!!!!
She had 4 knock-outs, and finished with a power rank of [36]. Best of the night, and nearly perfect!!!!
